Bio-identical estrogen

Hi Ladies!

I was wondering if anyone has any experience using bio-identical estrogen after a hysterectomy.

I currently am on 1mg of estradiol (just started 6/1/10) but I have an appointment in October to see an OB-GYN that specializes in prescribing bio-identical hormones. My current doctor does not and that is why I am on the estradiol until I can get in to the appointment in October.

I have been using Vivelle Dot (bioidentical estrogen patch) since my surgery in March. It has been wonderful for me.

It is my understanding that estradiol IS bioidentical.
