Today's the day!

Well, today is my big day. I'm a nervous, nervous, nervous!!! It truly stinks that my surgery isn't scheduled until 2 p.m.! I have been wide awake since 4 a.m. -- I am sure due to nerves.

My mouth is DRY and of course I can't have anything to drink. I need a SMOKE (I know- please don't lecture me) and I can't have that either...uggggggggg

Good luck to the others in my boat today. Hope you have a safe, speedy recovery. See ya on the other side.

Wishing you peace and strength as you wait for your surgery! If it's any consolation to you,when I go to the castle I'm not scheduled until 4PM! Hang in there! It will be over soon.

I know how you feel. I was calm until around midnight, when I realized I couldn't have anything more to eat or drink. And then I lost it. I've been having crying fits all morning, trying to stay calm. I hope they drug me up good when I get to the castle, because I think that's the only way I'm going to get through this. I really hope that everyone means it when they say that the worst part of this whole thing is the waiting, because I really, really hope it can't get much worse.

And I hear you on needing a smoke. I quit years ago, and I would still almost kill for one, I think. It's an urge that never quite goes away.

Best of luck to you and everyone else who heads to the castle today. I'd say I'd be thinking of you, but I'll probably be semi-conscious and drooling for most of the day.
