hot flash

I had only my uterus taken out last month. Because I'm young and my ovaries are healthy she left them in. She didn't want me to go through change early. She sad it will come later. Im 7wks post and I notice I be hot at night. Lastnight I was so hot I didn't sleep. Early this morning I had to put the fan next to me for air. How do I know I'm having hotflashes and what signs to look for?

Even if your ovaries were left in you can experience some symptoms due to them being messed with during surgery.

As for how a hot flash feels...well for me it is a heat that comes from out of nowhere and radiates from the inside out. It canbe triggered by hot drinks, red wine and nothing at all. It can be really intense to the point of just wanting to find the least, lightest clothing I can whe.
