3 months post hysterectomy: constant pain and bruising in right calf - could this be a clot?

OCTOBER 19, 2015...almost 3 months post op...besides the bits of pain at incision.... TOTAL ABDOMINAL HYST. Everything removed....i have been dealing with pain in my right calf...at first i thought it was normal...but its a constant pain..LIKE A CHARLIE HORSE...i also have a black and blue on calf which happened in operating room because it wasnt there before. Could this be a blood clot...didnt mention to my doc at post op appt because i thought it was normal... but now im scared. Hurts all the time

I just wanted to say you should go to the ER!! I think this could be a blood clot and if not treated it could travel to your lungs,or elsewhere. Please go see a doctor now!

Re: 3 months post hysterectomy: constant pain and bruising in right calf - could this be a clot?

I agree. You need to go to the ER and have this checked by a doctor. It "could" be a clot, but the pain could also be from the bruise.

At 3 weeks post op I had a DVT. My only symptom was pain in my inner thigh. I had none of the other symptoms that can accompany a clot (redness, swelling, warm to the touch). If you go to the ER they will more than likely do an ultrasound of your leg.

Hopefully it's not a clot, but you need to have it checked to be certain. Please keep us posted.
