6 weeks post hysterectomy: A down day

Yesterday I moved a box and felt the pull of stitches as my breath left me. Today I hurt. I'm cranky, in pain n that left side as well as inside, moody. My skin hurts, clothes hurt, my shower hurt.
In other words, I'm having a 'poor me' day.
I live alone and have no one who can help out, bring some comfort food... Currently I'm wrapped in the softest things I own, curled up in a ball on the couch, letting the tears fall.
I know it will get better, but right now things are sucky.

I'm sorry to hear that. Big hugs! Have you tried cold compress? It might help.

aw! I'm so sorry! I hope a good night's rest helps you to feel better. Your surgery was the day before mine. I lifted my one year old granddaughter today, and I've had a lot of vaginal pressure and discomfort today, too. I think we just need to listen to our bodies and rest. It's hard to do after almost 6 weeks. But, like you, I'm snuggled up and off my feet for the night. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Oooooh yeah that would hurt! I tried a hot water bottle and then a lidocaine patch. Helped the side, but I too ha vaginal pains- mine were sharp, shooting pains through the inside and along the bikini line :/ I feel like I'm gaining weight doing do little, but my clothes fit stil... I think the muscles are atrophying and I'm spreading out... Yet exercising much at all or in the wrong way hurts. Be nice if there was a Hysterectomy Recivery Exercise video...
