Your smart to listen to your own doctor. Maybe he will let you cheat a few days.

At 5 weeks doc said absolutely no pool, hot tub, nothin'! I was not healed on the inside. I had my next appt at 7 weeks, and in those 2 weeks everything looked fine and I was cleared for normal life. What a difference a couple weeks can make! I went in the pool a couple days ago, using the noodle to float. It has been in the 100's here too, and I was going to go in today but the pool was closed because of renovations. Just when I get my green light!

I was allowed in the pool at 4 weeks but not the hot tub. Be careful on that noodle, though! I did not think I was really exerting myself but the day after I floated and moved my legs using the noodle I was hurting a bit. I am now at 8 weeks and it's not a problem.

The Pool is calling me
I was told not to immerse in water for six weeks, and that's exactly what I'm going to do ... follow the doc's instructions. I feel great, and I don't want to do anything to jeopardize that! Plus ... I'm scared of developing complications that could really, well, COMPLICATE things! It's in the high 90's here in Orlando ... just turn up the AC, grab a bottle of water and some fresh fruit and relaaaaax Hey - when do we busy women ever have an excuse to recline, put our feet up and be pampered? Enoy it!!

The Pool is calling me
I saw my doc yesterday - that makes it 12 days post-op. She checked the belly and removed my steri-strips. I want those back -NOW. I think they provided a whole lot of support to all the fat and swelly roll janking on my incision. I have had several "knife-stab" incidents yesterday and woke up due to a brief burst of pain every time I turned around last night. But I'm sure that'll be better soon.
And of course I asked about the pool and she said 'Two more weeks" Yeah -I can do that. Guess where I'll be Friday, August 11th????
Luckily, I remembered after that to ask about ohter things (apparently not as important to me) - sex and returning to work. 4 more weeks for both of those - which, for the work part, I'm ok with it - the sex part I'd have liked a bit sooner :-)

I got the ok at 3weeks on thursday!!! I have 3 spots that still haven't healed all the way!! I am waiting for the incission to close completely. I did get in and skimmed the pool for hubby. Just didn't feel like laying out. I have read the info they give you with your estrogen and didn't really like some of what it said. Along with prolong time in the sun!!! Noone told me as a kid life was this much fun as a WOMAN!!!!!!! Why is we always get the shaft!!
