Is it ok for sick friends to visit you???

Selfish - Rude - Not at all!!!

I think that people mean well when they want to visit, but the reality is that someone else's germs can turn into days - if not weeks - of misery for someone recovering from surgery.

I'm fairly certain that I wouldn't ask them not to come. I would tell them the absolutely CAN'T come.

4hisglory - you said that you don't visit people in hospitals or new babies when you are sick. I feel the same way. I don't want to be the cause of someone else's illness. By the same token, I would not knowingly put myself in the path of a cold.

Prayerfully, family and friends will understand.

scare d cat - you can't trade the family, so you are doing the right thing - - keep your distance and still remain SUPERMOM and SUPERWIFE . Keep the lysol handy and I'm going to be praying that the germs keep their distance from you!!!

Everyone was sick around me these last two weeks before my surgery, at home and at work. My doctor told me the last thing I want is to get sick or they would have postponed.

I told everyone I have a ten foot perimiter around me and Lysol'ed everything. My and Your health is the most important thing right now!
