does estrogen help with anxiety and crying easily

Hi ladies, I still have one ovary and 3 1/2 weeks post op. I feel anxious and cry easily and some night sweats. I was on estrogen a few years ago and I think it seemed to help. My doctor said I could try the estrogen again and see if that helps. Does anyone else out there have much experience with estrogen? My skin feels dryer than ever before right now too. thanks for listening. Lovable

I have read that it does. I guess it is just a matter of balancing those hormones... You should check over on the HRT forum.

Estrogen helped relieve my depresssion and crying but not the anxiety. I have to take anti anxiety meds for that. The estrogen helped with my hair, skin and bladder too.
