Post OP Week 3- Vaginal Pain

Tomorrow will be my 3rd week post op and in the afternoons I have vaginal discomfort that feels like burning. When I get off my feet for a while it goes away. I feel like the discomfort is on the outside. I am having no discharge, no abd. soreness, and no fever. Has anyone else expereinced this. I am s/p TVH with removal of cervix. i saw my MD last Monday for this and he examined me and said everything was healing nicely. He did think I had a UTI so he put me on Cipro for 7 days. Any thoughts from anyone????

I am on about the same timeline as you and am having the same problems. I feel like mine might be from dampness in the vaginal area. This may sound gross, but this morning after I took my shower, I used a blow dryer down there, and haven't experienced any burning today. I also have a little discharge and try to change my pantiliner several times a day. Just a thought, it might help.
someone suggested to me it might be a yeast infection, so you could call your dr. to see what they think.
Happy healing.

Thank you so much. I am going to call my MD in the am. With the holidays here I want to get this straight before I have to deal with an on call Doc. If I didn't have this discomfort I would feel good. This is so frustrating....

Mill,

What did your MD say? Just curious, I just started having vaginal pain Of course, I just went to my doctor yesterday and the weekend is here now, so I can't call.
I had Tah/Bso 3 weeks ago. I'm wondering if I'mhaving some kind of spasms or something. But nothing is left? I don't know.

Anyways, if he told you what was wrong or if it was normal, let me know! thanks.

Bacterial infection diagnosis finally. He had been treating it as yeast and it kept getting worse. He prescribed Clinesse. I can tell a big difference in less that 24 hours. This pain had been going on for 3-4 weeks.
