Is recovery like c-section recovery?
wow, everyone's experiences have been so different! I found my recovery from SAH was longer, but easier-if that makes any sense. After the Hysterectomy I was able to take the needed time to rest, which was very hard to do with a newborn at home. I drove 1 week after my SAH, but was very tired for the first 4 weeks for sure. Sudden movement(coughing, sneezing, twisting) hurt like heck for weeks, and I don't remember that after my section. I must say that I was expecting the worst and it hasn't been as bad as I thought. Good luck to you-each experience is unique but what is similar is that you need to rest, rest, rest!

Is recovery like c-section recovery?
I had 2 previous csections. The last one even took care of twins and a 2 1/2 year old durring my recovery time and dont remember it being bad at all. I was also 22 yrs old then. Had a LSO done thru the same incission 17yrs later and it was a good 3 weeks before I felt good enough to do anything. I'm sure AGE played a big part of it. Also was told by the dr that so does the amount of "handling" required and done durring surgery. I had a pelvic wash so NOTHING went unseen or unhandled.
Plan on doing NOTHING for a couple of weeks at least. Just focus on recovery. Stay on top of the pain.
Keep us updated,
Vicky
