anyone know why I had to have Ct scan less than 24 hours afer TAH?

Sould anyone explain what a CT scan is? Did yours take a 5 minute, then 15, 40 scan?

I had a CT scan 2 days later bec i was running a high fever and the doctor thought that there might have been abcesses/infection where he had operated and that that was what was causing it. Turns out , everything was ok in there.

Were you running a temp? Maybe they did the CT scan to check for infection. You should check with your doctor and ask him.

My scan took about 15 minutes tops.

It depends on why you are having the scan has to how long it takes. I had my first CAT/CT scans while I was in the hospital after my hyst. They were looking to see why I had internal bleeding, did I have a blood clot in my lung, were my surgery sites okay, etc. Since mine were chest, abdominal, and pelvic, with contrast, mine took longer.
