TVH pain during intercourse after hysterectomy

so frustrated with how i am feeling on the inside when we try to have sex. Its been a long time since the last great sex on 1/6/14........
We had a short try but gave up. Tried again - i just buried my face and bit my lip. We so needed to connect emotionally. He got upset that i didn't tell him to stop. I felt like a failure..... It felt like someone scraped my insides and then poured salt/alcohol on me. I had to shower and take pain med to get to sleep.

Anyone else dealing with this? I see gyn on March 10 and i am so happy.

I tried sex for the second and third time today. No pain until after, and even that is minimal.

While I haven't been cleared for sex yet myself, and have no advice to add, I do completely understand your frustration and your need to connect with your husband intimately. I hope you guys get here soon! In the meantime, please try to connect without intercourse. My husband is happy with oral stimulation and just pettin until we can get there and we really do feel close with this intimacy.

Does your lube have alcohol in it ?

Spermicide from lube and condoms makes me feel that way as well. Or it could be an infection. Yeast or bacterial.

You might get a mirror and take a look.
