Strange thought about absent uterus

Hello Every one!

This is a STRANGE thought I know.
When the uterus is gone...is there just a big whole there?
Seems like your stomach would just sink in. Then we would all have FLAT stomachs. OR do your other organs just move around an take it's place.... I know I am weird!

Wouldn't that be nice?!!! I'd be so happy if I would lose an inch or two in my waist with a hyster, I'd sign up tomorrow.

But alas, it can't be. From what I've read on this site we have a "swelly belly" to look forward to. And some women schedule a tummy tuck at the same time. So something must be taking the place of those organs.

I "dreamed" that thought, too, ladies. But, it didn't happen to me. I am wearing pants two sizes too big due to swelly belly. I do hope, however, that having that enlarged uterus will make it easier to trim my waistline in the future, though.

Yes, as the previous poster wrote: the intestines move around and take their space. But don't worry, I'm 6 months post op and the swelly belly is very small now. I'm back to wearing even some of the tighter clothing I wore before my surgery--comfortably. S~Moonchime

The weird thought that i had was that if i drank a lot of water, would i "slosh" when i walked around? or will i float better in the water?

If my Swelly Belly is bigger than the huge lump I have now, I'm going to be *really* cranky...

I am now drinking my Magnesium Citrate...

Can't win, huh?
I am getting scared now...mostly of the anesthesia. No food today, only clear liquids. Need to pack bag and do last minute stuff...if I can stay off of toilet!
