Will I need to postpone my surgery?

For the last 7 years I've been getting heavy periods 28-32 days apart caused by fibroids, etc. Along with this I have pain in my back and side and down my legs regularly. I finally schedule my surgery for 11/28 and I should have gotten my period by 11/17 and no period yet! What happens if I don't get my period? I still think it's worth it to have the surgery because I don't think I'm all of sudden going through menopause. If I get my period a matter of a few days before surgery will I need to postpone my surgery! The one time in 7 years that this happens and it happens now!

You can definitely have your surgery if you are having your period. I started my period 1 week before and it was still going strong.(they last a long time) It's not uncommon for Aunt Flo to go out with a bang. But we have the last laugh. I'm still laughing hysterically!!!!!!!

you will have the last laugh with "aunt flo", periods or no periods you could do the surgery.
I had my surgery Aug 3, 2006 and I knew my periods was due, I told my doctor and she said Oh Wendy we could still do it with your periods, that's all I needed to hear.
On the day on my surgery of course aunt flo came heavily, with "gushes' and pai, etc , but of course I had the last laugh.

So my dear do not get anxious just fix your mind on having your surgery and healing quickly.

Today I am on the "other side" and I am really enjoying my life, all my friends say Wendy you are back as I am less mood and always laughing and pleasant.
