11 weeks later

I'm 11 weeks out from my TAH and I'm still struggling with leg pain and stomach pain and tenderness. I was diagnosed with uterine cancer so on top of the TAH they biopsied 11 lymph node sites which apparently has caused the numbness in my left thigh and weakness and pain in both legs. All nodes were clear so I've opted not to have any type of radiation. I'm 60 years old and I guess that's one reason I'm slow to regroup. I went back to work 3 weeks ago and was exhausted every night and by Friday I was ready to cry. So I've cut back to 4 days for the next month -taking a break on Wednesday to just prop up my feet in the recliner. I guess because I was in such good health I didn't realize what a long slow process this would be - I didn't even have a doctor when this occurred unexpectedly! I've turned into a real whiner! How long before your stomach doesn't feel sore from your pants rubbing against it and when does all the little stabbing pains disappear? Let me hear from you ladies.

Re: 11 weeks later

My surgery was 1/28/10. I had to go back & have my ovary removed last week. My pain continued. I was actually worse after surgery.

Even before my second surgery I still leave early from work take a vicodin & go to bed. I don not have cancer and I do not have the numbness in my left thigh, but prior to this I did have different doctors opinions. My hysterectomy was because of pelvic pain & one of my doctors told me I had a pinched nerve in my pelvic floor causing my pain
( http://www.cpp.mymedfusion.com/index...type/63212.cfm) & the other doctor told me I have adenomyosis. So I went with the surgery.

my pain was deeper, I didn't have pain with my pants rubbing against it but I did get larger underware & wore sweat pants or elastic pants to make my daily life easier.

Good luck it can take a while it is for me too.
