Tired of being snow/ice bound!!!!!

Hi,

Today is the first day since the snow and ice fell Sunday since I tried to get out. But with no luck. My road in my neighborhood was scrapped and the snow and ice piled in front of my car. I had decided it was no use and started back to the house and fell. My driveway has a little hill and I was walking down when my feet went flying out from me under me and I landed on my right hip. The bad part is I'm scheduled for my surgery 2-6-04. I'm having a LAVH done for chronic pain due to endo. My back, hip, and my pelvic area where I've already been hurting hurts really bad now.
I've called my DH and he will be coming early. I will go to my GP as a precaution. If I hadn't been hurting enough. Thanks for letting me rant.

Tired of being snow/ice bound!!!!!

((( Tammie ))) ouch!! I'm so sorry that you fell and hurt yourself!! I'm very happy that you're going to your dr to get checked out. It's definately better to be cautious about it. I'll be praying that you haven't caused serious damage to yourself.

Please let us know what you learn. Sending lots of gentle hugs your way.

Tired of being snow/ice bound!!!!!

Sorry to hear about this Tammie. Falling on ice really can hurt. I can relate to the yucky weather. I am in Ohio and we have had snow/ice/sleet for days now. My mother-in-law fell monday and broke her wrist. I am really ready for summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck to you

Tired of being snow/ice bound!!!!!

Tammie--
Sorry to hear about about your fall.I am glad you are going to see your GP. I hope it turns out good for you. I live in the Upstate of SC. Today is the first day I was able to get out myself. I tried to go to work on Monday. A lady ran me off the road and into a ditch, the ice was terrible.
Good luck with your surgery too. I'll be praying for you also.
God Bless.

Tired of being snow/ice bound!!!!!

Hi Ladies,

Thank you for your concern. I went the GP today and he said after doing X-RAYS that I'm just badly bruised my hip and shoulder. My back is okay as well. But he did give me something for pain. Which I was very grateful considering I can't take Ibuprofen after today. He said that it would be okay to take the Skelaxin and Vioxx. The plus it helps with my chronic pain from my endo.

Thank you,

Tammie
