Meperdine

Lortab and percocet seem to make me sick at my stomach from past experience. I was wondering if anyone had used meperdine and would it be unreasonable to ask specific for that. I used it when I had my toes operated on and it seemed to work well but wasn't sure the proper way to ask for a specific pain med. Thanks!

Re: Meperdine

I talked to my Dr at my pre-op appointment and point blank told her that I hoped she was not planning on sending me home from the hospital with Lortab. I have been taking that for quite awhile now and all it does is put me to sleep. The figures she will send me home with Percocet unless we find it does not work in the hospital.

I would just tell your Dr up front what your experience with pain meds has been so that he/she can make the best decision for you.
