TAH: Does anybody else have to take several meds before your surgery

I have to take antibiotics and Magnesium citrate and this vaginal cream it's a bit overwhelming but I'm ready to get this over with.

Yes, I also had to take antibiotics, do a bowel cleanse and a medicated douche before my surgery. Just remember to keep calm, do what your doctor says, and follow up with us after your surgery!

Hi mfive, I have to do the magnesium citrate, I think this will cleanse the bowels, I also have to do the fleets enema. No antibiotics pre surg for me but every Dr is a bit different. My hysterectomy is the same day as yours! Prayers for you!

I will take antibiotics the night before (4 tablets at once) and and need to wash my tummy and lower (but not internally) with a medicated shoap wash that the Dr gave me, both the night before and morning of surgery.

No bowel prep in any way.

Hey mfive, I had to do a bowel cleanse and was on premarin vaginal cream every night prior to surgery and have to use it three time a week now post op. No antibiotics prior but was on cipro after

I had my pre op today....have to do the citrate as my bowel cleanse and the wipe myself down with anti biotic wipes....odd huh ?? And at the pre op all they did was take four vials of blood and give m me my admit bracelet.......
