LSH post-op pelvic pressure day 8

Laparoscopic hyst 1/28 and thought I was doing well. Even started riding exercise bike 5 days later. Now with lots of lower abdominal/rectal pressure even with normal bowel movements and urination. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, from reading some of the other threads here, this appears to be pretty normal. I am having exactly the same problem. Not fun is it!!! I am 16 days post op and this has gradually got worse from about day 5-6. I have normal BMs too and am also having pain++ on urinating. Bladder feels like someone putting electric shocks through it when I am passing urine.
I am going to try taking in more water this week as that seems to be part of the information given to help this.

Thank you for replying and letting me know I am not alone. I was afraid to post because I know I am doing too much too soon, even though Dr cleared me to do everything I want (including aerobic exercise but no weights) and no vaginal sex for 10 days. After reading lots of posts, maybe it is just gas/swelling and everything falling back into place. Will take it easy rest of weekend and call Dr on Monday if no better.

I also have the same symptoms. The rectal pressure and lower abdomen pain is very intese - last night and today. I need to increase my water too - I'm taking stool softeners- but still fear going because of the pain. I was doing better a a few days ago - today I'm feeling yucky and anxious too! I was home by myself last 2 days but decided to come back and stay with my brother just in case things got worse.

He has no clue (nor does he want one lol) of what I'm going through.
