weak back

Well not using my muscle really has made my back weak and I just found out how weak. I was looking at my kitchen cabinets and thought they need wiping. So I got my dusting spray out sat on the floor and I reach forward and heard and felt a pop. My lower back! I hurt my tailbone 25 yrs ago and every once in awhile lift or move wrong and this happens. So I am back on the couch with a heating pad. Can't go to the chiropractor to get adjusted. I think someone is telling me I need to just stay my butt on the couch. My hubby is gonna be so upset with me when he finds out what I have done..he has been on me to just relax and stop trying to do stuff. Sure wish I had some good pain meds left. Just took 3 tylonol. I hope that helps.

Re: weak back

Maybe you need to see the doctor? Popping is usually a bad thing and might indicate something more serious than simply a strained muscle.

Re: weak back

I had excruciating back spasms about 2 weeks after my March 6 surgery. They got so bad, I ended up in the ER on morphine. I went to the chiropractor the next day and a few times after that and am getting better. I would ask your doctor and chiropractor about the possibility of getting an adjustment. I don't know your specific situation, but they will know if you can do it or not.

Re: weak back

Chiropractor can absolutely help! But be careful with taking a lot of tylenol. If you have motrin or advil, that would be better because of it's anti-inflamatory properties. And believe it or not you can easily overdose on tylenol. Good luck and I hope you are feeling better soon.
