Surgical Menopause @ 25. HRT a little shaky for me.

I am new to the site. I had to have an emergency hysterectomy after the birth of my last child. I have been on premarin and I just recently switched to estradiol. I gained alot of weight and having a really hard time losing. I welcome any advice about any subject with menopause from anyone and I am also curious to see if there is others so young going through this.

I am a 40+ year old woman that is going through surgical menopause and it has really thrown me for a loop. Mostly I am dealing with hot flashes and night sweats which are tough to deal with. I purchased a cooling pillow to help me with the night sweats but I have not used it yet due to the fact i just put it on the bed.

I had my surgery 5 wks ago.

My Dr. was really quick to put me on the hormones. I did breastfeed for the first six months, but as soon as I was ready he put me on hormones. I went through the mood swings and the hot flashes...thinking I was going to go out of my mind so that I could have a normal mother baby experience for the last time.
