stitches

I am 4 weeks post OP today and I still have stitches sticking out of my belly...it's this normal?

Totally! they can take months to go.

At four and a half weeks I spoke to my doctor since mine were catching on waistbands and annoying me and he snipped them off under the knot. If they annoy you, I'm sure you will have healed enough for the same but best to check first.

Can anyone who has has dissolvable stitches let me know how long they take to dissolve?

They can take quite a long time. After my five laps dr had to pull out the undissolved bits 6/8/10 weeks later. Didn't hurt. Knots take the longest. Don't worry.
