Discharge

I had my TAH/BSO back in August 2004, but I am still having some discharge which requires me to wear a pantiliner everday. My belly is still kind of swollen too. My doc has me on FemHRT and I was wondering if it could be the HRT that is causing the discharge? My belly is also still kind of numb and I am wondering if it could be that when I urinate, I am not urinating all the way at the time I go to the bathroom. I just wish I knew what it was! Anyone else experience this? Oh, I went to the urologist back in October 2004 and had it checked out but they said I didn't have a fistula or anything. Could it be hormonal?

Thanks, Becky

Discharge

Dear Becky,
I don't know but I would check with my doctor re your situation about the discharge. I think that hormones could possibly do this. Good that you aren't having any pain.. I've read on the forum about numbness and it seems that several sisters have mentioned this for themselves. ( I don't have any.)
Good luck on checking this out. Maybe someone on our forum has an idea to help you.
Take care.

Discharge

Hi Becky,

I still have discharge too and I had a LAVH on Jan 10. I have always had discharge and had to wear panty liners and I was hoping all this would be behind me now but it does not look so. After reading some posts by other sisters who have vaginal dryness I guess we might be lucky.

Take care, Sharon

I might be crazy but

Well I probably am crazy, but I just don't think that you should have to wear a panty liner everyday because of discharge. That just sounds like too much discharge to me.

I agree with the Princess that said to go back and talk to the doctor again. You might try doing a search with vaginal discharge as your topic and see what other ladies have said about this.
