Walking helped my Nausea

I was feeling a tad nauseous the evening of my surgery. Despite not wanting to, I did get up for my walk when my nurse came by (about 14 hours post-op). I felt very light-headed, and made sure that my nurse knew. We walked very slowly, and after a few minutes, I began to burp, LOL!! Several, burps, mostly small, and boy did they help! I was concerned that the morphine was making me ill, but in reality it was the built up gas. Walking relieved this feeling and my tummy settled down right away. After that, I was better about hitting my morphine button and keeping the pain under control.
