Spotting and itching-3wk post-op

I had a TVH/BSO on 08/04/09 and have had a somewhat eventful recovery between extra hospital stay from needing blood and low blood pressure, bladder spasms, and not tolerating HRT at all even after dosage changes. Sorry, I had to vent for a moment.

Needless to say, I am still passing a pinkish-brown spotty discharge (sorry for the description) and am having vaginal itching. I don't think I have a yeast infection b/c the discharge is not "cottage-cheesy" (sorry again for the tmi description).

Is this normal or does this warrant a call to the dr?

I think that I had discharges up until week 5 . . . I remember thinking that I would be so happy when I stopped having discharges, and then it just stopped. It wouldn't hurt to call your doctor and get their advice. Take care and I wish you a speedy recovery.

The itching may just be dry tissue there. I found that I am more comfortable if I use some lubricant during the day--I'd thought originally that was only necessary for sex. But if you look at descriptions for these products it seems it's for any kind of personal dryness. I found it helped for me.
