Re: I still have a uterus?
No I haven't had anything but a CT scan. I just found out yesterday! Prior to surgery I had all of that, pelvic ultrasound, mri's...it has been a lot of work and a long road. I bled for four months after surgery and now I do not bleed.

Re: I still have a uterus?
haha well that's possible huh? No no one asked me my name! Not that I remember...but I do have pictures of what the fibroids looked like once he got inside and of the wire mesh around the cervix. I am just as puzzled...Oh and those pics have my name on them and my dob and the date of surgery!

Re: I still have a uterus?
When you keep your cervix you keep part of your uterus. I am so sorry you are having problems again. Here's a big cyber hug for you.

Bless your heart, please take care of yourself and watch your blood preasure I can imagine it has been on the rise. Maybe make homemade bread and pretend the dough is the original Dr.s head

Re: I still have a uterus?
happyg,
Good suggestion about making bread and pretending the dough is the doctor's head. You made me laugh and I needed that today. Thanks! On Friday, if my breast specialist does not find this cyst that the radiologist insists is there after a second follow up, I am going to be pounding that dough to a pulp this weekend. Then, on Monday, I an going to find a different breast specialist and take my June and Oct. Mamo results with me. Luckily, I have been blessed with a great gyn/ocologist for my hysterectomy. Jays, you and I will have to pound that dough with a heavy duty marble rolling pin.

Re: I still have a uterus?
I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. Big hugs to you!
I remember someone posting on here 4 or 5 months ago with the same issue. I'm trying to remember the details, but I think she was having severe post op issues, had a CT scan and ultrasound and was told that her uterus was fully intact. Hopefully she will see this thread and respond on what has transpired since.
Please keep us updated.

This thread and the quote above are shocking! I hope you get a clear picture of what happened during your surgery and what's happened since.
Peace and hugs,

Re: I still have a uterus?
If I went through a hysterectomy and later found that my uterus was still intact ....I would have to be sedated because I would be out for blood. A) You paid for a surgery... they obviously did something while they had you under...Sooo... what DID they DO??
I think the doctor has ALOT of explaining to do and I hope you keep on this until you have the answers you need. This is just shocking.....utterly shocking...

Re: I still have a uterus?
haha! Thank you everyone! I like playdough! That's funny! Well I have requested my hospital surgical records. I will be going for another opinion and not back to that doctor. yes, my surgery was over a year ago...august was a year...and the doc has been paid and so has the hospital, over 30k for an LSH...I think I must be a lizard because my uterus grew back full of fibroids! Maybe that's his explanation? He guaranteed me that it's the CT scan that isn't right, but a 2nd CT scan can't lie, I had contrast, barium and it was at a different providers facility....hum? Interesting! Yes, this is pure crap and I don't want to go through all of this AGAIN! Ugh and grrrrrr
