New to the group and happy

Just to let you know after reading the articles on the site about Vaginal Hysterectomys. I was horrified and almost didn't have the surgery but, I got myself together and decided to have the surgey. Two days after the surgery I had no pain from the surgey but only gas. I had a total hysterectomy including ovaries at the age of 38 and even 2 days after the surgery my libido has increased although I still can't do anything about it. The best advice I can give any of you is to do the research and try not to worry. To tell you again on how good I feel. I am cooking, doing very light housework such as dishes and laundry (no lifting the basket) and have even got into the swimming pool with permission from the Doc. I hope the rest of you have it as good as I have with my surgery. Good Luck!

So glad you are doing well. I didn't find the site until after my surgery so I had none of the ohmygodwhatamIdoing syndrome. I would have liked to ask a few more questions pre-op, if I'd known to ask. Post -Op, this site has been wonderful in answering little nagging questions. Hope the rest of your recovery continues to go well
