Almost 4 weeks and confused

Hi I hope someone can help me as before on this wonderful website! I had my Divinci 3 weeks ago. took everything but right ovary. I'm feeling no more pain and healing fine but last week I had a couple of days of crying and my boobs were sore . I called my doc and they told me my ovary might be sleeping. They gave me some Elestrin gel to use on my arm once a day. The second day I was on it I felt like my heart was racing and I had anxiety all day. I was also light headed. Well they told me to stop the gel and it's been 2 days and I feel better but my breast are killing me. Right now I feel a lttle sad at times a little aggra at times but not uncontrollable. I don't think I've had any hot flases because I was told I'd know I was having one. And no night sweats. I don't know if I need to take anything or not!
Thinking of all the ups and downs of finding the right HRt is really MAKING me depressed. I wanted to keeps my ovaries so I wouldn't have to go through this.. Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated

Re: Almost 4 weeks and confused

I'm in the same boat 8 weeks out but haven't tried anything yet. I was just told to wait it out that my left ovary would pick up the slack soon. I did have hot flashes the first couple of weeks. I was an emotional wreck. I'm finally( about a week or two ago) feeling normal. Balancing out. This week was emotional but I think it should be my cycle time. I don't have the answers but know your not alone. Hang in there.

Re: Almost 4 weeks and confused

Hi kokopop! Funny, I was just thinking about you, and sent you a note to see how you are, and then this post shows up!!

I'm not sure if this is helpful or not, but I have had lots of PMS symptoms, like clockwork, every time my period would have been due since my LSH, including: emotional swings and sore boobs, but also cramps (yup, cramps! Phantom or otherwise, they feel pretty darn real), bloating and nausea. Right now I'm having my third "bout" and already it does seem to be lessening from the first two times. The first time was the worst for sure, and in fact I was about three weeks post op.

Granted, I have both ovaries still but honestly it feels like I am having my period except for (insert applause!) NO MORE FLO!

From what I have read on here, other ladies experience this and it does decrease over time. Given that you are 3 weeks out, it is possible that things will still balance out with more time...but go with your instincts and I hope your doctors will help you find the right solution with time.

Wishing you the very best, and please keep us posted!
