LAVH 16 weeks post hysterectomy...still swollen...

Ok, how long until I REALLY feel better. At 16 weeks I still find my belly swollen and a continual dull pain in my abdominal area, I think from the swelling. It makes me feel sick and the only thing that works is lying flat, not even sitting up. It's like my abdominal muscles are struggling holding me up. I try to push through it but if I don't lie down I feel nauseous and sick. Is this all part of healing or should I be concerned about something else. I am wearing a pessary for stage 2 bladder prolapse and an also on the minivelle patch, if that makes any difference. Any thoughts? Shouldn't I be feeling well enough to be carrying laundry baskets and my toddler by now? (Not at the same time. Lol. )

Sorry to hear the problems you are still having. I still have the feeling in the vaginal opening like it is swollen, but that is it.

It could be a reaction to the hormones, could be from the surgery. I strongly suggest you contact your doctor to clarity and to feel better. Keep asking if you don't get a satisfactory answer.
