Belly dryness

Wed I will be 3 weeks post op. My belly is severly dry & peeling. Its disgusting. No matter how much lotion I cake on, its not getting any better. Just wondering if anyone else has this same thing going on too? I know the colder weather is upon us but I've never seen my stomach like this before.

Yep, I know how you feel. I've always had dry skin, and after surgery I was also flaky and peeling. And itchy. Gross. I used (and am still using) the Aveeno Active Naturals Skin Relief Moisture Repair Cream (I know it's a mouthful ). There's no aloe vera (I'm allergic to that) and three kinds of oat (it's great at stopping the itch). I use it twice a day, once after my shower at night, and again before I get dressed in the morning. It took about a week or so to get the dry skin under control (mine was belly and backs of legs and butt). I use it all over; my dermatologist said creams are better for dry skin in the winter, and lotions are good in the summer, since they are lighter weight. So I would try a cream moisturizer and use it at least twice a day until the dry skin in under control. In the beginning, I was applying it three times a day (I told you I have very dry skin!)
