Bleeding 4 months..D&C..is this normal..help.

I have PCOS. Last year at this time my lining was somewhere around 18 (cm)(?). They tried the pill..it worked..I went off of it and didn't have a period for awhile. Then...I got it again in April and have had it since. My obgyn tried the pill and it doesn't help. OR..it will taper off for a few days and then..practically flood again in a few days. I'm having a D&C and hysteroscopy on Sept. 1st.
My question is...does this seem kinda long to put it off considering that I am still bleeding - not to mention anemic? I know it's just the ways of busy healthcare...but my husband is not happy about it. Please share your similar stories so that I know this is common. I am worried about uterine cancer or something...basically just worried!

I didn't have the same symptoms or diagnosis that you are posting about, but wanted to send some cyberhugs. Has your doc suggested any iron supplements or special foods in your diet to help with the anemia??
