12 hrs to go - I'd be a basketcase without this board!

The clock is counting down - 12 hours left.

Thanks to everyone who answered my questions. Also thanks to those who sent private messages, promised prayers and just provided a firm foundation for my shaky feet!

Good luck to everyone else counting down the hours and especially those who share my surgery date of Nov 22nd.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone and I can't wait to actually post on the POST-OP board.

I'll be thinking of you and I know you'll do fine. My TAH/BSO was last Wednesday and I came home Saturday. Recovery has gone very, very well. Reality has become much less frightening than the imaging was. Take care and we'll see you on the other side Princess Joyce!

GOOD LUCK! You're gonna be just fine

I'm three weeks post op and remember the butterflies I felt - I had to be on the ward at 08.00 and was the last to go to theatre - so I sat and watched 14 other women go and come back from their surgery. I hid my nervousness by waving them off and welcoming them back and although time did drag especially with nil by mouth for 16 hours I got through it as you will.

You are in my thoughts and prayers and I am sure those of many more.
