Re: Circle of Support - Have you helped a sister today?

Awesome reminder! I didn't know about this place pre-surgery (so instead I started a blog), but I'm definitely going to pop over to the "pre" area to see what I can do!

Re: Circle of Support - Have you helped a sister today?

I was thrilled when I found this website. It is easy to find information on the actual hysterectomy procedures but not so easy to find information on the post-surgical aspects. The surgery itself didn't scare me, maybe because I work in surgery, but I wanted to know the details of what I would feel like after.
Thanks for having the post-op check points, for me these were incredibly helpful.

Re: Circle of Support - Have you helped a sister today?

I have posted something preop to someone who is freaked out, poor girl, just like me last week. Only thing, I am trying to be verrrry careful because I am a bit bitter from my after care, time will tell (as I am only 4 days post op) if the surgeon worked his magic ~ but I am keeping a positive attitude and keeping with good karma staying confident that HE DID work his magic for a better quality of life. Sitting here in pain 4 days post op (although pain gets better every passing day) it is hard to say just yet.

I just wanted to say that I will do my part in trying to help the preop ladies in waiting and that I think this site should be showcased on a national morning news show. Has it ever been? I'm surprised if not. I would like to somehow expose it to the world so other women who haven't been lucky enough to find it on their own can use this, as it has been my absolute saviour, (other than my God that I pray to).

Thanks again.
