Upcoming post-op exam

I am terrified of my post exam this coming Monday as I had an AWFUL pre-op where my doctor had to scrape some cells from endometrial lining for some sort of pre-cancer test--it was horror and I was sobbing at the end. She had to do a DNC day of surgery because she did not get enough samples that day!!! I am still tender and achy with that weird numbness that other have discussed on other threads--did I mention the 5 week old steri-strips that have not budged!?!? I cut the ends off my hairs, but got squeamish when it came to pulling them off across my incision--they are still really stuck and I fear if I dont get them off before my exam my doctor will snatch them off for me!!!!

I am sorry you are so scared. That is a very bad part of this. I know just saying you will be fine doesn't help a bit but check in with us when you get home. I wont be as bad as it is in your head. & It will be over!

thank you so much for you support it is greatly appreciate it. I guess I have done the biggest part, now these little necessary details must be taken care of. I will be a 'big girl' and go to the doctor with my brave face on. thankfully I have had no complications--just still tender and have not allowed my lovely partner to even touch me yet....
In due time...

I have found myself more than a few times just feeling sorry for myself that I have to go through more but in the end you are the one that has to be strong for yourself. Your the only one who can do that. I do wish there was an easier way. My hubby is patiently waiting too. I am about to give him the green light some time soon I think. He knows I am sore so I am sure he will be gentle. Best wishes to both of us.
