6 weeks post hysterectomy ... new pain from incision shooting into groin?

Hi Ladies,

Had a robot assisted surgery, uterus and tubes. All along my recovery, I've still had soreness to the left of my bikini line incision. I can feel the scar tissue hardness under it, so I assumed that's what it was. Now today, I'm getting a shooting like pain from there, down into my groin and upper thigh. WTH?!? Anyone else have this? Wondering if I'm doing too much. I'm trying to be a little more active. I had developed blood clots and pneumonia a week after surgery, so got off to a slower recovery that I had wanted. Maybe I need to take it more slowly? I just want to get back to something that feels like normal!

Thanks!

Hi
The shooting pains sounds like the nerves are just regenerating themselves. This is a process but remember to take it easy!!!

I sometimes have a shooting pain out of the blue that lasts for a couple second. I'd heard the same that it's nerve healing or trying to connect again. I haven't been alarmed by them I guess because they are not real frequent. It hit me about the 5th week just how much my body is still trying to heal. You really go up & down those first six weeks. Fatigue comes in & out to. Sometimes I just crash. Drink lots of water.
