More pre-op questions

Sorry you guys - a couple more questions: Do I need to take both pads (period) and mini pads for the incision, or do you just use those at home?

Where on the site can print out the wish list of things for DH or DC or whoever that you wish they knew or would do?

A coworker has come down with a bad cold - I'm not working with her today - what happens if you get a cold? I know that has been asked before sorry to be so obtuse!

More pre-op questions

Hi Sail On:
I had a TAH and I did not put anything on the incision. The surgeon put a dressing on it during surgery and it was taken off before I left the hospital. I was told not to put any dressing on it. I know some ladies have had to use pads because of oozing but I did not have any problem with that. You may want to bring pads with you to use in case you have some post op bleeding. I did not have that either. I did have a cold before surgery but they went ahead with it and I did not have any problems. Ever surgeon is different though. Mine said as long as I did not have a fever and did not have allot of chest congestion it would not be a problem. You may want to check out the preop articles for ideas of what to bring. Hope this helps. Good luck and take care....
