Path Report -- "Fragments of Tubes" ??

I had to go to my gyn's office at 6 days post-op to check on discharge. Anyway, I asked the midwife what the pathology report had said.

She rattled off some findings but when she got to "fragments of tubes", my jaw dropped.

I was keeping my ovaries and tubes. I know my ovaries are still in me. Why would there be tubes/tube fragments removed? The midwife didn't have a good or confident-sounding response. She did say that new studies show that ovarian cancers may often originate in the tubes. Okay.

Mostly, I'm just really curious. Do you think the dr. removed my tubes? Or were they stuck --- I was loaded with adhesions --- and just parts were stuck to my uterus?

Don't the tubes come out of the uterus, though, and just sorta float around the ovaries?

Confused!

I would ask your doctor. I wouldn't have any idea what the means or why. Keep us posted, I am interested in hearing! My appointment isn't for 4 more weeks so I am interested to see what the report says.
