Re: sometimes my vagina feels like it is going to turn wrongside out

I just had my one week anniversary yesterday, and I'm sitting on the potty and I felt like my whole vag was going to fall out between my legs.

I think I was passing gas through it? I still can't feel much up there and down in there, but the pressure and the feeling, wow, omg.

My poor brain could not make sense of what was happening at all. It also feels weird to pee. Like...my bladder is in a whole new place.

Re: sometimes my vagina feels like it is going to turn wrongside out

Hang in there Maidyn,

Things will get better and be sure to let your physician know about the symptoms that are confusing and scary. One week out from surgery is not much time.

It helped me having the Thanksgiving holiday and weekend away from work where I had to sit straight up in a chair for most of the day - the pressure feeling has decreased since I've been spending time in my recliner at home. I've decided my motto for the next few weeks will be "Recline, recline, as much as possible frequently recline."

I hope you holiday was restful and healing,
Take care, Welllness48

Re: sometimes my vagina feels like it is going to turn wrongside out

Not to be a downer or anything but it could possibly be prolapse. Sometimes it just won't show up until after the uterus is gone. Once you have a hysterectomy, prolapse is a common occurance. My hysterectomy was actually because of prolapse, my bladder and rectum were prolapsed and were pulling down my uterus. Shortly after I had the hysterectomy, rectocele and cystocele repaired (less than 3 months) I had vaginal prolapse and had to have that repaired. Just something to be aware of. I really hope for your sake that it is just swelling!!! I hope you feel better soon!!

Re: sometimes my vagina feels like it is going to turn wrongside out

I am my 8th week post op and haven't returned to work. I am scheduled to go back next week. I still feel the pressure and was so worried at 6 weeks that something went wrong. The gyno/dr. said all looked fine and when I mentioned that feeling she just did the "hmmm really?" as if it was a complete surprise. If it wasn't for our discussions (even though sometimes the info freaks me out!) I would be so in the dark!
