How long before for Pre-admit/pre-op appointments?

I am scheduled for my LSH on 1/22/08. From what I remember, my doc scheduled my pre-admit for 1/21. However, on my work calendar I have it marked for 1/17 to do a pre-op physical. I plan on calling the doc tomorrow, but thought I would ask here in the mean time.

I had my pre-op appointment one week before my surgery but I have seen several ladies on this site who have had their pre-op the day before surgery. Every doctor's procedure is different. Blessings to you as your big day approaches. Hugs, Lisa

My pre-op appointmets were a week before my sugery except for my blood typing was 3 days before.Hope this helps!

My pre-op physical had to be with-in 7 days of the surgery, I had that on Friday. My blood typing and screening is tomorrow. True, every Dr. is different.

Thank you for the wonderful and quick replies. I sure am glad I didn't rely on just my memory. Turns out my pre-op is 1/17.

I did my prep-op last Tuesday. Had a "discussion" appointment with my doctor on Thursday to go over everything. And tomorrow I go for blood typing, etc. for Wednesdays surgery. Geesh, good thing I have nothing else to do but run to the hospital daily! :-)
