Im eight weeks post op and Im still wearing the little white stockings that they have you wear after surgery for circulation. My reason is because Im cold (feet) and because they make my legs feel good. I have Lupus too, and sometimes have a lot of leg pain. Anyone else find these little stockings as comforting as I do?

I wore them in the hospital for the one night, and then one night at home. I can't stand stuff on my feet/legs when I sleep so that's all I could take! If they feel good, hey, go for it tho!

I had them on the first night in the hospital, then at home the next day. Because I devoloped heart problems the day after surgery, they EMTs took them down to my ankles in the ambulance and they came off completely in the ER. I have had them back on one time since--to wear them home from the hospital after they cleared me the following day because my DH forgot to bring my pants, and I needed something to cover my legs. Since then I just look at them once in a while and leave them in the pile they got dumped into when I peeled them off.
But if I wasn't so hot and felt more comfy in them, I would probably also be wearing them, because they kept me ankles from swelling.

No! I left them in the garbage can in my hospital room along with the ugly gray no skid socks!

WOW! I'm glad to hear SOMEONE gets comfort from those dang things! My doc wanted me to wear them for 8 weeks, but after my first week home, there was no way in creation I could take them any more!! They were making my legs itch!!

I still have them, I suppose for my scrapbook?! Oh yeah, and those grey footies...I use those, although they aren't on my top ten favs.

Are you kidding me? Mine came off the morning after surgery and I've never looked back

I'm very hot natured and they made me sweat so bad that I froze everyone out of my room. After they came off I was able to adjust the thermostat for everyone's comfort.

I will admit the leg pumps were awesome.

I didn't have stockings I had these woresome balloon things on my legs that would pump air and bug me so bad .I'd kick them off everytime the nurse left the room.. I'd rather had stockings.....
