Question about intimacy with no cervix

Without a uterus, there won't be uterine contractions with an orgasm. But you can still have orgasms clitorally and vaginally. If you have ever had an orgasm without uterine contractions, that is how it will feel post hysterectomy.

If this is a major concern for you, you should consider alternative treatment options besides a hysterectomy.

I had a TAH and had my cervix removed When DH and I had sex for the 1st time I was so worried that my "O" was not going to be the same. I have to say it was better I also worried about the loss of my uterine contractions but I did not miss them as much as what I thought I would. I find lovemaking to be more enjoyable and my sex drive is more heightened.

Well.. We got clearence yesterday And went for it! Sure, no more uterine contractions but mine were painful for at least the past year. I don't miss them at all. I found my big "O" to be bigger and more enjoyable than before.

I, for one, am very upset about the loss of uterine contractions. When I tried to raise this topic with my doctor pre-surgery she basically blew me off and went into a long explanation of clitoral orgasms. Yes, I know the clitoris is very important to making an orgasm *happen*, but the pleasure is not centered there - at least not for me. She just didn't seem to "get" it.

Other things I've noticed

- with no uterus to contract, having my nipples sucked does nothing for me anymore.
- with no uterus to move around inside, swinging on a swing set has lost of all of its arousing properties.

I feel like I did pre-puberty when nothing really felt very interesting. I still want sex, but it takes longer to orgasm and it's almost not worth all the bother. I'm very sad about this. I would almost take the pain back if I could have a good *** again.
