Any stats on granulation

Maralyn,

I agree with you. The silver nitrate was not pleasent but not too painful either. At least compared to some of the other procedures I've had. Like cervical and uterine biopsies and being stitched up. Those were all very painful. I had a doctor tell me that there were no nerve endings there and we should not feel any pain. Of coarse he was a man. I'm glad I have a female gyno now. Well as for me. I'm not sure what the next plans are if this one fails. I'm praying that this one works. I did not know about the vitamins A & C, that is worth a try. Thanks for the info. Someone else had mentioned vitamin K. My doctor did put me on an estrogen cream for a couple of days. She said that will also promote healing. And I'm trying to stay off my feet.

karen1963....we're two days different in terms of our anniversary (mine was 03/30/2005) - I'm still bleeding and passing clots. Right now I've gone three days without anything, but expect another burst any time now (I'm trying to be optimistic, but it's hard!!). My DR's think I'm going to take time to heal up completely but it's still disconcerting to be feeling OK and bleeding at the same time.

I'm not bleeding continuously - it's almost as if there is a bubble of blood that had formed and then it breaks and is expelled.

What's up with you at 7 1/2 weeks?

Hi ShaSha2

I feel your pain. It sounds like we were both experiencing the same type of problems. I did have light continuous bleeding but then it was like something broke loose and I'd have very heavy bleeding and large clots. After the last O.R. trip I was really hopeful but about 6 days out I started bleeding again. Because I couldn't get into the doctors office until late in the day she did the silver nitrate again and packed me. She put me on antibiotics and ordered NPO in case I needed to go back to the O.R the next day. Well the antibotics really made me sick. So I ignored the NPO eating crackers to settle my tummy. I was still so sick the next day I refused surgery and so we decided to just try and pack me everyday until I stoped bleeding. That took 3 more days and I haven't bled since. I think (hope and pray) I'm in the clear. I even went back to work the last half of this week. I'm extremely tired from being inactive for so long. Maybe the packing would work for you as well. But, my last round of bleeding was not near as heavy as some of the others. No clots.

Best wishes and Good luck.........let me know how you do.

Karen

Karen,

I have a complex pelvic vascular condition that may be contributing to my specific problem. But I think I'm reading more and more that there is no specific time frame for any of us. I had two monsel solution packings, then a gel foam packing (I also developed blood clots in my lungs...but that's a whole other story!!!). Since the gel foam (3 weeks ago), things have slowed down in the bleeding category.

My DH keeps asking when I'm going to relax - he thinks 3 days without bleeding is great. Personally I think it may take me a year to get over the worry!!
