I would be glad to be getting it over sooner! It is understandable that you feel a little bit like the rug was just pulled out from under you, just calm down, take a deep breath, and tackle the things that are REALLY important. Don't sweat the small stuff!!!!! I will be going in the day before you, and cant wait to come out on the other side!!!XOXOX Laura

It will be fine.
Slow down...take a deep breath...
You still have time to get things ready.
Make yourself a nice cup of tea/coffee/etc. and make your lists.
Things to do...
People to call...
Need to buy...
Things to pack...
(etc.)

You can do it!

Best of luck!

I got my list from the pre-op hints in the pull down menu at the top of the page. It is great! You will be just fine and won't it be nice to just have it over. I have enough time to over think everything...not sure that's the best. Good Luck to you. I'll be thinking of you.

Ginger,

I'm getting excited for you! Look at all these wonderful replies. You've got a great group of Sisters to go with. It makes ALL the difference. To make it easier for you, here's the link to the Pre Op Hints:

http://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/hsl...s=&forumid=170

jeanb was right, these are GREAT! M5Trent had a good idea too. And you sound like you can use the tea and a rest. Now call Tanis, ask for your brain back, and lean on Laran66 to be your strong Sister. There you go! It's all covered.

It's going to be so good. You get to feel better sooner than you 'd expected, a hidden blessing. Shouts out to the demise of Auntie Flo!!!!

Much Love,
AnnieWoof

Hey Ginger, go for it ,there was a post the other day were people here in England are waiting six months, I bet they are dead jel of you. As long as you have a clean nightie (not PJs in case you have a catheter) anything else can be brought in to you or else it can be bought off the trolley or from the hospital shop our shop even had great big granny knickers. Seriously, you will probably be out of it a bit for the 1st 24 hours and then if you have forgotten anything you can have brought in for you. Best of all you can then post on the 'been there, done that' board.

I went in for 8am didn't have a bed, went down to surgery at 8.40am came back at some time or other DH came in about 6.45pm and that was when my bag was unpacked!.

Good Luck
Pezzer,
