How are 8 Weekers Feeling?

I am doing very well for 8 weeks. Sex is great. My body is getting to feel a little more like normal. I am still have a hard problem with sleep. But over all I am doing good. I had a SAH w/ BSO on Dec 20, 2005 and I was just wondering how other sisters are doing. anyone thats past the 8 week mark that would like to tell me how you are doing I would really appreciate that.

How are 8 Weekers Feeling?

We are true sisters. I had my TAH on Dec 20, also. I feel wonderful-no more back pain. I've been back to work since week 2. I own and operate a commercial embroidery business. I still have a shelf for a belly at night, but it continues to go down. I'm not taking any HRT, just trying to combat this naturally. Few hot flashes, no mood swings, just night sweats and insomnia. No pain-no problems!!!!

How are 8 Weekers Feeling?

Hi Melissa

I've been wondering how you have been doing. I glad to hear your feeling good !!!

I've been doing pretty well. I am tried still easier, but expect that for now. I am wearing normal clothes. YAY! no more sweats I am still getting the 'swelly belly', but not as bad.

The only thing I have going on is some bowel problems which is weird since I never had them before and I am so many weeks out now.

I am so glad your are doing well Sweet Melissa

How are 8 Weekers Feeling?

My surgery was just a few days before yours and I'm doing rather well. Went back to work at 6 wks and find the hardest thing for me is sitting at my computer for long periods of time. I have to remind myself to get up every hr or so.

I decided that the dog poop was quite overwhelming in my backyard, so on Wednesday I scooped poop after work while it was still light out. It hadn't been done since my surgery and was way overdue. I got up yesterday morning to slight muscle spasms. Was uncomfortable driving and sitting here at work. Took a tylenol PM last nite and am much better today.

How are 8 Weekers Feeling?

8 weeks and almost back to normal - not nearly as tired in the evenings. Night and day difference happened during my 7th week. I had been wondering if I would ever get my energy back! Gas is troublesome, but manageable.

How are 8 Weekers Feeling?

8 weeks 3 days here. Overall I'm doing pretty good. I still have lingering discomfort at the cuff area that my dr. thinks is caused by stitches that are still disolving. This week I have been hit by incredible exhaustion that is hard to cope with. I haven't had this problem in several weeks. I wonder when we get to the point in recovery that we don't think about our hysterectomies every day?

How are 8 Weekers Feeling?

8 weeks, 2 days for me. I feel great.

Went back to work at 7 weeks.

With 12 hours on my feet per shift, had some muscle spasms and bone pain the first few days back to work. Advil and a heating pad took care of it.

Glad all my other 8 week/December sisters are healing.

Surgery was sooooooooo worth it.

Nancy
