Upcoming hysterectomy 7/20: Nervous!!!

Hi! Scheduled for my TAH this Wednesday!! I'm having an IVC filter placed prior to the start of surgery for a previous DVT and PE. I am soooooooo nervous!!! I am thankful for this blog!!!

It is perfectly natural to be nervous but I feel confident that you will do great during your surgery. In the next few days try treating yourself to something you enjoy (pedicure? hair cut?) and also spend some time doing last minute "get ready" items - change sheets, stock up on soups and juices, do some last minute vacuuming, etc. I must have packed and repacked my hospital bag 20 times before my hysterectomy and it helped me feel in control to add things of comfort to my bag.

I'm scheduled for July 20th also. I was a vacuuming fool this weekend!!!!

Add me to the list of surgery tomorrow!!! I thought I was doing great with all the nerves and stress but my BP says differently!! Haha... I have to pack my bag today as well... First surgery of the morning though so at least I don't have to wait long. Just ALL day today....
