Cysts anyone ???
I thought I would open up a discussion that Posyak and I have been having on Cysts to see what other sisters have experienced.
I've just been put on antibiotics for what they tell me is a burst cyst after a week of increased pain.
I still feel unsettled and nauseas, pain on the right side, the swelling in the tummy seems to be going down, but I feel like I want to go to the bathroom #2 but its like my bowel has forgotten how to work. I'm also feeling exhausted and I'm also having really sore boobs and my period isn't due till the 17th.
My doc said that the sore boobs can be caused from the burst of the cyst triggering a hormon reaction.
I've been trying to go into work this week but find its too much so leave early.
I was wondering what other sisters have experienced?
Thanks
Steph

Have had cysts and still do
Steph, I had a burst cyst several years ago and it hurt almost as bad as childbirth! I was in frightening pain for about a day, and then sick for several days. Apparently, it was a doozy. I've had cysts off and on since then too, but they have resolved on their own -until the last few years. I've had a big cyst on the left side for over 4 years and I'm ready to have it taken out. I'm not surprised that you are still under the weather. It will probably take a few more days to feel okay again.

Cysts anyone ???
I guess I thought I would be feeling a lot better by now since I'm on the medication.
I came home early again today and I'm in my PJ's and plan to have a relaxing evening.
I must admit I don't feel so sick this evening so thats good.
I hope I don't have to go through this again , its not nice.

Cysts anyone ???
UK, after you mentioned your bowel thing that reminded me. After the exploding cyst, I did have a loose stool and was also constantly in the bathroom.
I sure hope you start feeling better. But please, if you notice any change, please get to the ER.

Cysts anyone ???
I promise I'll go to the ER if it gets worse but I'm sure it will settle down.
Thanks both of you for sharing your experience it helps to put this in perspective.

Cysts anyone ???
Hey Steph,
I have PCOS- and have had a few cysts burst. It stinks, plain and simple. I also had all the symptoms you are describing. Bowel movements were excrutiating for a few days too. After number three, they did a laparoscopy to make certain nothing else was going on. I had so much fluid build up that they had to drain it. I was on antibiotics for months.
You'll likely not feel good for a few days- but if symptoms persist, or worsen, or if you spike a fever or the pain becomes worse- go to the ER.
Good luck and feel better!
Jean

Cysts anyone ???
i had an ultrasound for other reasons last december, they stumbled across a cyst (4.5cm in size), went to gynae and he said to leave it another month because we want it to shrink and go away i went for the ultrasound yesterday.. the cyst is still there, same size and on the other side i now have another one 3.8cm in size. i dont know much about cysts but im hoping that it all just goes away but i doubt it. all i got left internally is my ovaries.. no more uterus or anything
