TAH 13 days post op and very gassy

Very gassy all day. Is it alright to take gas x or is it better to let it pass on its own?

I had TAH on Nov 17th. My doc told me I could take Gas X twice a day. That and a stool softener has made me much more comfortable.

Oh by all means take the Gas-X. I think it helped the gas pass. Also I added probiotics and started drinking Citrucell twice a day. Oh and I also drank peppermint tea. All of it helped. I'm 5 weeks post op and still have some painful gas - in the morning and at the end of the day.
