finding out date!!!

I went to the doctors today and found out that i am not able to a my Hyst done vaginally(because uterus was high up) instead i will be having it done threw the tummy, Now i am more scared!! The doctor ask me all sort of questions then i handed him the sheet that i printed out from Hyster sisters and he asked me who you all were so i told him. He just look at me then started to laugh but he did not say anything. He told me that i may go in this coming Monday or next but will find out for sure tomorrow afternoon. i will let you all know. AAHHHHHHH oh yeah he also told me that i will be on a morphine pump so that made me feel alot better.
the doctor told me that i was too young for a hyst. but i stood up to him and told him that if he went thou everything i was going thro then he would want one too... he agreed somewhat. i cant belive he was trying to talk me out of getting one. i am only 28 years old but just tired of all the crap that goes with my MONTHLY....lol

Hopefully you will get your surgery date soon. I know that before my surgery the waiting was the hardest part. I am almost 1 year post-op and feeling great - so glad I had my surgery. Keep us posted on your surgery. Take care.

Hi Jannie, sorry that you are having to change your sugery type. I went thru the same thing as you. I had a dr who told me that I was too young for a hysterectomy and needed to try Lupron first. Needless to say, I do not go to him anymore. Good luck, things will be fine.

Hi Jannie, good for you - sometimes we do need to speak up for ourselves. I'm sorry that you are having to change your surgery. Hang in there , hopfully you'll get the date soon. Waiting really is hard. Let us know when you learn your date.
