5 weeks...back to work

Got my 4-week Dr. ok to return to work, stopped in to tell them. Talked to my boss previously about only doing 1 shift a week for a while (it's a 4-hr. shift, part-time job) and she has me scheduled for twelve hrs. a week standing on a concrete floor all month! This is in addition to the 30 hr. a week I work from home and starting 2 classes Monday. I am just not up for this! I'm really sore still, and will have to talk to her tomorrow. I feel like just quitting. Don't know why she did this. Thanks for letting me vent.

I hope you have success talking to your boss today. I agree this isn't something you can or should do. I hope you can make her understand it isn't a matter of wanting to. Four weeks is very early post op. You're going to be pushing it to do all of that as it is. If she wants you back at all she needs to adjust your schedule.
Good luck and let us know what happens.
's, Rita

RosaRita -
Hang in there - although I haven't been released to go back yet, I understand your frustration. Try and talk to the boss, maybe she doesn't realize your limitations? Good luck, and remember, stay calm (and only do what you are comfortable with)!
Hugs

I talked to her today and explained that I just can't do this. I start back tomorow night, and then she has me scheduled for 16 hours over a six-day period, I hope she can eliminate most of those. I think she'll be taking off a few shifts, I guess I can always "call off sick" & try to find a replacement if I need to.
