Prolapse?
When I early in recovery and sometimes even now I feel all kinds of weird feelings in my vagina and other places too. I did develop a vaginal cuff infection at 3 1/2 weeks and my vagina was very irritated and felt like rocks were going to fall out of me. I did have a fever. If in doubt call your dr. You did have major surgery and the healing will take time.
Take Care

Prolapse?
Hi Lori! I had the same feeling just after my surgery and I went in with a prolapse uterus so now that it what gone I couldn't figure out what I was feeling. I also had a bladder suspension and a vaginal cuff. My Dr said i was feeling the stitches. I actually thought I over did it at around 2 weeks post-op and my bladder somehow prolapsed which would mean that I was in real trouble again . So, take it easy, drink plenty of water to help you heal and let the healing take place.
If it continues to concern you call your dr.
Don't rush your recovery and hope you feel better soon.

Prolapse?
So early in your recovery, this sounds all quite normal to me. You have a lot of bruising and swelling in that area after the surgery , so don't worry. xx

Prolapse?
Thanks. It just worried me because I didn't have any pain or pressure in the area until 8 days after surgery. Thanks.

Prolapse?
Yes, it seems to really build up about then. Mine peaked at about 2 weeks. I still felt a pressure for several weeks afterwards though, but by the 6 weeks check up things were more normal...
Make sure you rest well and obey your restrictions...Take care.

Prolapse?
My Dr. explained that at the 7-10 day period, the stitches are being absorbed into the tissue and forming scar tissue around them. This causes increased swelling which then irritates everything all over again. My second and third weeks were my worse. Still having some issues and still healing. Apparently at the 4-6 week point, there is another turnover period where the stitches are dissolving and tissues are having to hold themselves together. This can cause minor setbacks as well and some sisters have more trouble with spotting as the stitches come out. Again, if you're worried that something is excessive, call your Dr.
Good healing and welcome to the other side. LJC
